Victory At Silverstone!

This past weekend at Silverstone is surely one that Charlie wont forget for a long time to come! As the sun shone down on the Oxfordshire circuit, the home to the British Grand Prix, and after an incredibly strong showing across the weekend; Charlie secured his maiden victory in the Ginetta Junior Championship much to the delight of friends, family and sponsors who attended to watch Charlie, re-igniting his bid for the overall drivers title.

Winning anywhere is a special feeling, but winning at Silverstone brings with it a certain ‘je ne sais quoi.’

Following his win, Charlie is now 2nd in the overall drivers standings with only 49 point sepereating him and the current championship leader Ethan Jeff-Hall, and with two rounds to go (6 Races) of the season, its all to play for as the championship heads to Donington Park in a few weeks time for the penultimate round of the 2024 season.

When asked about his Win, Charlie commented:

I knew it was going to be tough race, as to bring home a win at Silverstone, you need to get yourself into the Top 3 as soon as possible so you can break way from the pack and build a gap.

We got a great start, and managed to get into the front pack before the first corner, and then it was just a case of playing it smart and picking our battles - towards the closing stages of the race the opportunity presented itself to take the lead, and we managed to bring home the win a gap of 0.07 from the car behind - so it was incredibly close!

We’re back on track in a few weeks time, this time at Donington Park - which is a firm favourite of Charlie’s, so hopefully we can continue our good run of form and close the gap in the title fight.
